Working with Artisan, we designed and applied the Blood Rage effect on the lead character Matthew in over 40 shots throughout key scenes of A Discovery of Witches in Season 2, in which it flares up and down in intensity in relation to his mood and his battle with control of his vampiric urges. Additionally, we augmented flames in one of these scenes so that they too raged and lulled similarly to reflect these inner struggles in this confrontational moment between the leads. We were brought back for Season 3 for more blood rage work as Matthew’s son Jack battles with his control.
